Everything you need to know about the Savannah — personality, care, health, and what to expect as an owner.
About the Savannah
The Savannah is a hybrid breed created by crossing a domestic cat with an African serval, producing tall, athletic cats with bold spotted coats and long legs. Savannahs are highly intelligent, active, and adventurous — often described as more dog-like than cat-like, with love for water, leash-walking, and fetch. Earlier generations (F1-F3) are especially large and demanding of experienced owners.
